The opening of the Holy Door

The introductory rite of the giubileo is the opening of the Holy Door, a door that is open only during the Holy Year, while in other years remains walled. Have a Holy Door the four major basilicas of Rome: St. Peter, St. John Lateran, St. Paul Outside the Walls and St. Mary Major, the Holy Doors of the other Basilicas it will be opened after the opening of the Holy Door of St. Peter’s Basilica.
